St. Thomas Convent School, Bhopal, marked a humble beginning in the year 1986 on the eve of the feast day of St. Thomas, the Apostle of India, a man of Courage and Faith. Rev. Fr. Joseph Kurumpileth, the First Manager, laid a solid foundation for the institution. Rev. Fr. John Nedumcheril, the Second Manager built on that foundation and procured a five acre land from MP Housing Board in the year 1996 for the school. Rev.Sr.Sukrutha SIC was the first Principal of the Institution.

In order to provide for the all round development of the students, a well furnished, beautiful building providing perfect ambience for the growth of students was constructed. The rose garden, bird sanctuary and perfect greenery adds to the scenic beauty of the school. The institution offers diverse course to the students namely, Maths, Biology, Computer, etc. Proving to be a visionary in the field of education, the then Principal, Rev. Fr. John Nedumcheril introduced Biotechnology in the curriculum, thus becoming the first institution in the city to do the same. Quality and value based education is emphasized here. The school is reaching for greater heights under the leadership of the new Principal Dr. Sister Deepa.
